Morgan Poliquin is a British Columbia Registered Professional Engineer and a 1994 graduate of the UBC Geological Engineering program. He earned his Masters of Science in Geology at the University of Auckland, studying geothermal systems and epithermal gold deposits and his Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Exeter (Camborne School of Mines) studying the geology and mineral deposits of eastern Mexico, where Almaden works.

Morgan is the CEO and President of Almaden. Morgan conducts the company’s prospecting programs and continues to oversee and direct the company's exploration programs.
