Drill Program Completed at Lac de Gras

ATW Resources Ltd. has just completed a drill program on its MacKay Lake, NWT diamond property. No kimberlite was found. Three resistivity low anomalies were tested. Two were explained by graphitic conductors. No explanation was found for the third anomaly.

Nevertheless, till chemistry has indicated that a diamondiferous pipe (or pipes) is the source of the 25 kilometre long indicator mineral train that has been traced back to this part of the ATW property. Previously conducted sonic drilling to collect till samples further narrowed the search area down to the three by three mile square where current drilling took place.

Since resistivity targets have not located the source, other techniques will now be considered in order to isolate pipe targets within this confined area. These may include further sonic drilling on closely spaced fences, and other surface and airborne geophysical techniques.

The MacKay Lake project is a joint venture of ATW Resources (75%), Aberex Minerals Ltd. (15%) and SouthernEra Resources (10%). ATW itself is owned by Almaden Minerals Ltd. (40%), Troymin Resources Ltd (20%) and Williams Creek Explorations Ltd (40%).
