The Caribou Creek copper,
zinc, and lead property is located in the Yukon Territory 180
kilometers east of Whitehorse. The 48 contiguous copper, lead,
and zinc minerals claims were acquired by staking in 1997 and
1998 and are owned 100% by Fairfield Minerals Ltd. They are underlain
by stratigraphy that has been correlated to the Nasina Assemblage
of the Yukon Tanana Terrain which hosts the Volcanogenic massive
sulfide deposits in the Finlayson Lake district, Yukon.

June 1997: 85 line kilometer airborne electromagnetic
and magnetic survey flown. Several weak EM anomalies and magnetic
trends parallel to stratigraphy were indentified over wide spread
parts of the property.
August 1997 : Base line cutting, soil sampling,
geological mapping, and prospecting. A band of anomalous Cu,
Pb, Zn, and Ag values in soils 600 x 100 meters was identified
on the central and western claims.
September 1997 : An IP geophysical survey was conducted
along a 3 line-km in the central part of the property. The IP
survey identified several zones of moderate chargeability anomalies
within the area of anomalous soil geochemistry and near the main
gossan zone.
August 1998 : Soil samples outlined a 300 x 100
meter zinc anomaly and confirmed the continuity of the 300 x
800 meter copper geochemical anomaly outlined in 1997. Blast
and hand trenches were excavated over areas of anomalous soil
geochemistry exposing quartz sericite schists that are locally
pyritic. Grab samples from the trenches and in adjacent rocks
returned moderately anomalous lead, silver and gold values.
