overview | past work

The Mor
Property massive sulphide propect is located near the Alaska Highway in
the Morley River area of Southern Yukon Territory. 12 contiguous
mineral claims were staked during 1997 and 1998 to cover a precious
base metal showing discovered by prospecting follow-up of stream
silt geochemical anomalies. The subsurface (mineral) rights are
100% owned by Farifield Minerals Ltd. Surface rights are held
by the Teslin Council/Yukon First Nations, from whom permission
is required for entry to conduct work.

1997 and
1998 -
Work included property expansions, prospecting and reconnaissance
sampling on and around the claim group, grid soil geochemistry
and ground based magnetometer and VLF-EM geophysical surveys.
Significant results have been generated by all of the programs
conducted to date. Final reports on geophysical surveys conducted
during 1998 outlined several discrete VLF-EM conductors with
associated magnetic responses, some of which are partially coincident
with anomalous mutliple- element soil geochemical trends. Grid
soil geochemical surveys covered 75% of the property. Results
indicated a 2000 meter long by 100 to 200 meter wide area anomalous
in copper lead zinc and silver. Subsequent trenching within this
anomaly returned gold values as high as 1,250 ppb gold (check
sample 3,788 ppb) along with 42 grams of silver, 0.13% copper,
0.43% lead, and 0.40% zinc.
May 1999 - The
company signed an option agreement with Brett Resources Inc.
which included the Caribou Creek Project. Additional staking
has been completed; the two groups now comprise 100 mineral claims
covering 2,100 hectares. Details are in news release dated May
3rd 1999.
December
1999-
Brett's option expired.
Summer 2000
- A
program of geochemical soil sampling and auger sampling was initiated
on the property in an attempt to better identify and extend the
known mineralization. Magnetic and V.L.F. geophysical survies
are also planned before the end of the season.
September
2003 - Mor
optioned to Kobex Resources Ltd.
2004 - In 2004 Kobex completed
an induced polarization (IP) geophysical survey over the Mor
property which defined an 800 meter long linear chargeability
anomaly - significant mineralization
encountered. [more

2005 : Kobex terminates its option.
